What is WiMAX and how does it relate to 4G technology?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

WiMAX is, as Wikipedia states: "a telecommunications protocol that provides fixed and fully mobile Internet access"
From my understanding of the article, as well as the Wikipedia article on 4G, WiMAX is similar to WiFi in that it operates in providing wireless Internet service over a particular area, but with the exception that the range is much greater. 4G is different in that it operates on cellular frequencies, and is a term used for the fourth *generation* of cellular wireless standards, as Wikpedia says. The article goes on to state that 4G is the successor to WiMAX, granted there is much confusion between the two, especially now that Sprint calls their network 4G, but they are using WiMAX.
Hope this helps!
