What is this short story? When I was in the seventh grade (in 1990), my class read a story about mice. I can only recall a few details...

M$Ralph S. Mouse does go in search of aspirin, but it's for the young boy who owns him. It's not technically listed as a short story. It's a fiction novel for young kids, so it is fairly short (176 pages with large print).

M$I appreciate everyone's responses. I took the advice here and bought NIMH and The Mouse and the Motorcycle. I am a few chapters into NIMH and am not certain this is it. I glanced through The Mouse and the Motorcycle, which I will read next, but I'm not sure that is it, either. The mice in the story that I read were not so anthropomorphic as these mice. Either way, I look forward to reading these books. I am also looking online for the original text book from that time.
