Ahhh, Coney Island! There is much to do and see in this unique area of Brooklyn, New York. The famous Coney Island Boardwalk is a must. There you will find the famous and original Nathan's hot dogs, and don't forget the seasoned fries! Continue on the Boardwalk and visit the Coney Island amusement park called Astroland. Take a ride on the Cyclone rollercoaster, a wonderful and historic all-wood roller coaster right on the ocean! The ride and the view are awesome indeed! There is also the freak show at Coney Island/Astroland. There is a long, sordid history there, and the purveyors will be happy to fill you in on the details. The Mets minor league AAA team, the Cyclones, have their stadium right on the Boardwalk as well. Catch a game if you can! The Coney Island Aquarium is another must-see, particularly if you are visiting the area with children. Lots of hands-on activities, and just the right size for youngsters. Enjoy the visit!
