What is the youngest age you would take a child to an art museum?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It depends more upon the maturity of the child than his/her actual age. Personally, I wouldn't try to take a child to a museum until they're at least four or five. That's a good age to teach youngsters how to use good manners and behave respectfully in public places. Toddler are still learning that the world doesn't revolve around them, so if I took them I'd keep the visit short and sweet before they got too bored, tired, and cranky.
