What is the youngest age in which a footy player can start to play AFL?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You can play footy starting at age 5, but the current youngest professional footy player in the AFL is Liam Shiels of Hawthorne, who turned 18 on April 29th. There is no official rule about minimum player ages.

Generally around 23-26. Look at your Chris Judds, Nick Reiwoldts, Nick Dal Santo, Leigh Montagna etc. All part of the best players this year, and fit under this age bracket. you can get all news regarding AFL by AFL NEWS.
