What is the worst type of gift card you have ever heard of?
A few years ago, Planned Parenthood came out with some gift cards. Although the organization offers many different services, many critics claimed the gift cards could be used to pay for abortions. Personally, I think using a gift card to pay for an abortion is bad, but that is just me.
What are types of gift cards are out there that you have heard about that are for unusual places or services. What is the strangest purchase you have ever used a gift card for or plan to use in the future?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The worst gift cards or prepaid cards that I have heard of are the ones that actually charge a monthly fee even if the consumer doesn’t make a purchase with the card. The fact of the matter is that the card is a gift so I think it’s rather ridiculous to say the least why you would be charged a fee just for having the card as if it were a credit card. Essentially, the fees being charged against the card erase the balance depending on how long it takes the user to make a purchase.
I think the strangest cards are the ones for restaurants being that regular gift in general can be used at any place so I think it’s kind of redundant to have a gift card for restaurants, book stores etc.
