What is the worst thing you've ever bought?

Mine would have to be a french fry cutter. It was made of plastic and cheap stainless steel. It only lasted through a couple of uses before it broke.

A $700.00 dollar bright "Starsky & Hutch" red 1978 Ford Pinto. Sure seemed right at the time but in the end was a very bad decision.. however the light at the end of this tunnel was that it came with an 8 Track player in the dash and an Elton John 8 Track in the glove compartment. Rocket Man this right off the highway at night.

A 1980 Mustang in 1985. There wasn't a good electrical module made for those cars. I had it three years, and replaced three modules, and they weren't cheap. Then the transmission went bad. When the air went out, we sold it. It was fun to drive, but it was like supporting another child.

My worst purchase would definitely be a knitting kit. Sounds dumb, but I can crochet and I got a little starter knitting kit and just could not learn to save my life. I even got lessons from my grandmother and still could not learn. So not only was it a waste of ten dollars but it made me feel completely incompetent.

A 1989 Nissan Maxima I bought in 2006....It was a lemon, and barely lasted half of a year

When I was a kid the two dollar sneakers they used to sell in the supermarket up in the Bronx, where I grew up. Everyone who seen you with them knew you were poor if they weren't just for the beach.

I think the worst thing I have bought in the past 5 years and am still hanging on to “just in case I ever need it” is the “Bullet” mixer once advertised on TV. During my purchase, there was a special for a buy one get one free deal (isn’t there always one?) and so I used the opportunity to obtain a free mixer to give to my friend as a thank you for helping me with my move to a new area. I thought I loved the mixer and made sure I bought all the little gimmicks to go with it (extra containers, all the different mixing blades, cups, etc). To this date, I am happy to announce, I have used the “Bullet” mixer maybe four times. And I can make this estimation based on the individual parties we have thrown during which I needed a mixer (and then had to ask my friend to bring me her larger, standard countertop blender to do the job). Today, the mixer and all its accessories is taking up space in one of my kitchen pull-out drawers and I can still not get myself to dispose of it because of my investment made in it and my lack of use of it. How sad… Stay away from infomercials!

The worst thing I bought was a gift for somebody. It was an Xbox 360 for my best friend, because he'd been wanting it for a really long time. He was so excited, and got himself a hard drive and some games, but a week later it got the Red Ring. He had issues sending it back, then more issues getting it back from Microsoft. To top it off, him and I aren't friends any longer because of some personal issues......

Epil-Stop. It was a chemical hair remover, which I've noticed they don't seem to sell anymore. They said you just sprayed it on and rinsed it off. I used it on my legs and noticed some burning. I looked down and saw two little streams of blood flowing down my leg. It didn't even remove the hair. Useless, useless stuff!

Mine was a wrong pair of shoes that I bought from a 24-hour (land and water) trip city. I chose the pair that's on display (on sale), and I let the saleslady got the pair of it. I dunno if the saleslady got the wrong pair for what I'd chosen. So, I paid for it without checking it again and I went home the next day. When I arrived in my school, I fit the shoes but I was sad because the other was slimmer and lighter in color while the other was really the one I chose. Huhuhu, too bad, I couldn't return it because it would cost me more than the price of those shoes.

A Pontiac 2000 Grand Am. It had 3 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I was so excited for I had never purchased a new car before. Right after the extended warranty wore off, we started pouring the money into it.
First, we had to replace a head gasget, alternater, water pump, CV joint, several sets of brakes. There was also a kit that had to be replaced that prevented me from moving my car. At that time I was just pulling into the library and it quit on me and thats where I had to leave until I could fix it the next day. I know there are a few more things that we have had to replace, I just can not think of them all. If I could call Pontiac today and tell them to come a pick their car up I would at no charge !!

I loved the look as well as the performance from this car when I first seen and drove it
Piece-O-Shit !!
