What is the value in asking a "What do you think of" question about Super Bowl ads on Mahalo Answers?

They seem to be subjective question that really add little to the wealth of knowledge that should be created from an answers site.  Perhaps I'm missing the point of Mahalo Answers.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The value is in marketing Mahalo Answers to search engines. Enter in Google Doritos Too Delicious Super Bowl Ad, and then you will see the first search result is Mahalo. This brings traffic to the Mahalo site. If you notice who is asking these questions, it's obviously someone who is affiliated with Mahalo. It also is good to create interesting content on Mahalo, as people always have an opinion of advertisements and especially Superbowl commercials that companies are shelling out $2.6 million for a 30 second ad.

Although opinion questions, like "what do you think of" don't necessarily add to the knowledge base of Mahalo Answers, I do feel that they have value.

One, they get people who don't necessarily have knowledge related to questions on the site to be able to participate.

Two, they build community for sites like Answers, and it helps to build community.

Three, it taps into the buzz of a big event and gets peoples opinions on it, sort of like an archiving of history.

The neat thing about Mahalo Answers is there's no set concept of what it will be. It all depends on the users.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, though!
