What is the trend in the USA for asbestosis lawsuits?

Is there a falling trend in asbestos-related claims and lawsuits (asbestosis, mesothelioma) ? Have the manufacturers managed to curtail lawsuits by setting up trust funds etc?

There are lawyers out there who are out to protect the needs and safety of employees. Many of the people have won and changes have already been made.

Asbestos-related claims are actually on the rise because of the length of time it takes asbestos to affect the body. Many of the older generation that worked in factories and shipyards decades ago are now feeling the effects of the asbestos exposure. Also, because there is a growing number of asbestosis and mesothelioma attorneys that are willing to take cases, the consciousness has been raised on the issue.
