What is the translation of the British "W**k" into American?

And, what is the uncensored British word? It's too hard to look up when the asterisks are in there and I can't guess what the letters should be. All I know is that there is a town in Germany by that name but that doesn't help much.

I believe you may be thinking of the word "wank" which literally means to masturbate. It seems to mainly be oriented towards the male form of masturbation, but the term can be used towards men or women.

It seems that wanker generally is used to mean a worthless individual.

in addition, I located Wank, Germany

I have heard and used the world in casual context myself, though usually as a pronoun (wanker) as opposed to a verb or noun. I do then to notice that only people who are regularly exposed to British comedy tend to know the actual meaning. However, wank is close enough to wack that people will accept it a a mispronunciation of the American slang @polymath pointed out. The definitions are similar enough that I don't see any point in making a clarification.

For those who want to pervert another language and cartography at the same time...

It appears that Wank is a way you can go in Nesselwang, Germany. Although I would want to spend far more time in the Geschlechtsverkehrs part of Nesselwang than in Wank. After all, if someone is going to nestle your wang, best to do it right...

That must be it. It shows up on Google maps. And the two ads that show up on the page are "Naughty berlin Wifes
Husband Out For Work: You In For
Naughty Pleasure! Join For Free.
Affairsclub.com/berlin" and another similar. For some reason the word has not crossed the Atlantic, as far as I have ever heard.

Maybe whack is the American version of wank, which is why it didn't spread. But it seems to have a more varied meaning. Also, whack has a non-rude meaning while wank doesn't seem to.

That has the wrong number of letters. Also, there seems to be no German town by that name.
(note that urbandictionary is worthless as a source as well. Anyone writes anything there.)

WACK is an alternate spelling for WHACK

I would think wank means wank in any english speaking country although different derivatives or slang terms may also be available, like toss and whack.
