What is the title of the movie inspired by Hansel and Gretel?

The movie is more or less made in the 60's and 70's. I have seen this but the title escapes me. I wanted to get a hold of this movie so that I can watch this again. This is a suspense/thriller and from what I can remember, the movie started as a group of unfortunate orphans who visited a woman in her large home for a Halloween party. Two children, a brother and a sister stowed away because they were not allowed to attend. After the party these two children got left behind and were imprisoned by the woman of the house. I have searched long and had no luck so far. I would be most grateful if anyone can tell me the title of this film.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This does not sound like a Hansel and Gretel adaptation at all. In the source section below, though, I have added a link that lists all the known adaptations—but none fall within the timeframe you specified.
