I personally like Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. I drove through it a few years back and had lunch in the sleepy desert town. The name brings to mind the old west history and lore.

Then there's Hell, Arizona; Hell, California; and Hell, Michigan. I find it strange to name a city "Hell," as most cities are named after beloved places or famous people. Not to mention, you can refer to a city "lovingly" as Hell, but once that's its official name, you can bet no one's going to want to come out there. It kind of kills all business, except novelty tourism. Then again, perhaps it's like the Welsh town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which created the longest name on purpose to draw in more business.
