On the 21st of July, in the modern calendar, Sirius the Dog Star, rises heliacally at dawn.

In the ancient Egypt the Sothic cycle, also called Canicular period, was a period of 1,461 years, each with 365 days or 1,460 Julian years, each averaging 365.25 days. During the Sothic cycle, the year of 365 days loses enough time that the start of the year (Egyptian calendar began during modern summer solstice, which is June 21) coincided with the heliacal rising of the Dog Star, Sirius, which the Egyptians called after the Goddess, Sopdet, and because the star was associated with Ast or Isis (in Greek language the name was Sothis); therefore, a single year between heliacal risings of Sothis is a Sothic year. This was called "the opening of the year." This rising occurred within a month of the beginning of the Nile flood and was important for agriculture in Egypt. The civil calendar consisted of 3 seasons made of 4 months, the first four called Akhet, followed by four months of emergence, called Proyet, and finally four months called Shomu.

Will the heliacal rising of Sirius change positions over the 1460 year cycle?

From a fix point, Letopolis, will Sirius cross paths at Heliopolis in the 1460 year cycle?
