What is the song "Jenna" by Darren Farris about?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Nobody but you was inspired by Darren's real life struggles with PROCRASTINATION self-defeatism.
All the names mentioned throughout the album are real people. Darren usually writes about real life situations. However, "all names were changed to protect the not so innocent" .
Darren wrote all the songs on Psychopathic Issues. He thought about putting a cover song on the record. He decided against it, because nothing would fit right into the mix of the album.
The song "Jenna" actually has dual meaning, if you read the lyrics carefully.

M$When I wrote Psychopathic Issues, I really wanted to take you on somewhat of journey. To do that you have to exorcise a piece of your soul, as well as take some artistic chances. For those of you who listen to this album- from Dark Horizon, to Enigma, I hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did. Thank you for sharing this experience with me.
All the best,
Darren"

M$Framed in a catchy, almost hypnotic melody, "Jenna," is a melodramatic tale of love gone sour, that lyrically, leaves the listener digging for more answers.
"That's just how I write," says Farris of his abstract writing style. "I write a little for the listener, and a little for myself. It's a peaceful coexistence. I bring a lot of different elements into the lyrics that have meaning in my life. However, I realize those things may seem mysterious to the casual listener. I think that's why it's imperative that I make sure my hooks and melodies stand out. That way, if people don't "get it" lyrically, then you always have the "damn that sounds good" safety net, to fall back on," laughs Farris.
