Tha Carter IV is the upcoming eighth studio album by the rapper Lil Wayne , Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. )
After several rumors stating that the album would be released in 2009, Wayne told Billboard that the album would be released in 2010. However, due to Wayne's upcoming jail sentence, he stated that the album would be released in 2011 shortly after his release. It has been reported that he has completed 20 songs for the album.
