M$However, a secluded local beach (not one used by vacationers just ask a taxi driver and have a nice tip ready) in Barbados is excellent. and even though it is on the water you can't even hear the water lapping on the shore because the sand and open area just absorbs all the sound. According to Guinness World Records:
In a world where something is always happening, people are always moving, and equipment is always buzzing, most people don't know what silence really is. But in Minnesota, USA, real silence can be found in a room.
The anechoic chamber at Orfield Laboratories is the Quietest Place on Earth, as awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records.

I was thinking more of a naturally occurring place but that's pretty cool.
Hmm, I think that Guiness has not been inside of George W. Bush's head---that has GOT to be the quietest place on Earth.
