what is the quickest way to strip wallpaper from plasterboard?
Textured wallpaper has been glued to plasterboard and then painted over. What is the easiest way to remove it please?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You have to get a scoring tool or if you don't have it a utility knife will do. Cut on the wallpaper in sections, then spray it or sponge it with warm water. Water will be absorb and will do the work of softening the wallpaper and glue. Wait for about 30 minutes then start peeling the wallpaper. If there are some places that is hard to peel off, spray it again then peel or scrape it. Repeat the same process if some sections are hard to come off. Hopefully, it will come off easily.

I know this question was answered, and I understand that, but I wanted to put this out there. If anyone reading doesn't have the time to remove all of the wall paper, something I think I'm going to do in our dining room is a faux finish. I've done a ton of research lately and I like the way it looks. This article goes into a lot of detail, maybe it'll inspire someone! Now, if I can make my dining room look halfway as good as some of the pics out there, lol. Good luck!
