Offering good customer service is very important for any business for it can affect the sales and reputation of the company.
These are some tips to improve customer service:
1. Add extroverts, loving-people to your team for they tend to be more empathetic when it comes to customer's problems.
2. Offer regular customer service training programs to encourage customer-oriented behaviors and practices.
3. Give employees the chance to make difficult decisions without you for this will help empower them to get involved in decisions that benefit the company.
4. Let customers give you feedback to get their opinions. This will help you act on any feedback and improve your customer service.

There are many strategies to improving customer service but first it is important to understand the customer's perceptions and experiences. Consider using a secret shopper so you can get a better idea on what the customer experiences and may possibly learn the processes a customer goes through is not the intentions of the company. For example, is the customer waiting in long lines, are they greeted upon arrival, and is the customer's needs met.

Regardless of the type of business, it is important to get feedback from you customers. You can link them to an online survey asking them to rate their service. Giving promotions such as discounts when filling out a survey is o.k. as long as they have recently visited the store. You can also ensure the front line employees are on top-notch behavior with customers by giving them incentives for positive feedback.
