M$The basis for his conclusions seemed to derive from the fact that Adam and Eve were created nude and were declared at same time, to be ‘very good’!

M$Ok, just so we are clear.
She is referring to John Paul II (Latin: Ioannes Paulus PP. II, Italian: Giovanni Paolo II, born Pl-Karol_Józef_Wojtyła.ogg Karol Józef Wojtyła) who died in April 2nd 2005.
These days the pope is Pope Benedict XVI (Latin: Benedictus PP. XVI; Italian: Benedetto XVI; German: Benedikt XVI.; born Joseph Alois Ratzinger).
Poor, misused source. The source is a question and answer by two clearly twisted people, neither of which gives an actual citation to the Pope. The question is what does the Pope think, not your opinion or that of some columnist.
That seems about right, especially considering all the art in the Vatican with nudes.
In the context of a woman purely being naked, still moral. She's getting dressed, showering, whatever, nudity is necessary.
In the context between a husband and wife, the Pope would still say not wrong. Marriage authorizes nudity and sex between a husband and wife, so nudity shared between them is not wrong or immoral.
In the context of posing for nude photos to be distributed, that I think is where the Pope would draw the line (or hope he would). The purpose of that nudity is to produce pictures which will be distributed to (presumably men) who wold lust over them. I suppose the argument against this is that some nude pictures could potentially be art, but in the context of lingerie, or more "hardcore" type of nude photography the purpose is to entice, or to cause to lust. That I would say the Pope would call immoral.
So, while nudity in itself is not in any way wrong, the context in which it is viewed can make it inappropriate.

M$@dumbblodne AGAIN, I apologize if I didn't make this clear, but this is my OPINION, following what I know about moral and religious beliefs.
I'm not second guessing. I'm making educated assumptions. But yes, as I have no official source for my OPINION. I can admit I should have that made that more clear in my original answer.
The Pope has spoken out about it so you're assuming the Church thinks something when there has actually been an official statement.
You are second guessing the Pope without giving any sources whatsoever.
Yes, this is what the Pope said, according to a source with citation. Nushka is right to point out that this is not the current Pope but the previous one. Both that Pope and the model are/were Polish.
It might also be pointed out that the Catholic church in general over the centuries has approved of nudity in art.
And some of the best works of art in The Vatican are nudes.
Anyway even if this was said by JP II, it doesn't lose weight. The Church is not like a government with different policies depending on its leader. The Pope's statements are supposed to be transcendent and have weight even after they stop being the Pope because they speak for the Church.
