Hi @throne! The Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego is a post-season NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A college football game which was created in 2005 by the organizers of the Holiday Bowl and played every year at Qualcomm Stadium.
The game is presently sponsored by the San Diego County Credit Union and known as the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. The Poinsettia Bowl has been held in San Diego since 2005 and the city has been the host of it for 5 years now.
The team who won second place from the Mountain West Conference is guaranteed a spot in this bowl through the 2014 season. A certain team from the Western Athletic Conference if it has enough bowl eligible team will be able to get an automatic bid in 2011. BYU will play in the 2012 game and Army will play in the 2013 if it is eligible for the bowl.
