Why?
-Great characters. The fake psychic man-child is oddly realistic, and there are so many good characters like Gus (who knows an insane amount of trivia and pretends not to like adventures that he really does), a snarky but guncrazy detective with a heart of gold, etc.
-Great relationships - the Shawn - Gus friendship, the Jules-Lassiter friendship/professional respect, and one of the most interesting father / adult-son relationships on television
-Cool mysteries every week
-Awesome guest stars - James Brolin as a cowboy? The Princess Bride dude as an art thief? Ally Sheedy as a badass scary serial killer? Awesome.
-The show is so funny. Cracks me up every time, and there are very few comedies that do that, on this or on any channel.

My second favorite is Psych, who doesn't love a psychic.
My thired favorite series is Monk. I love how he has to have everything perfect and he does that cool hand thing.
I am really looking forward to White Collar it is probably going to be my new favorite, but it's not out yet.

I agree. Psych is at the top of my list too. Royal Pains second. Monk used to be at the top but it's in it's final season and the writing is suffering.
