What is the official coupon policy of CVS Pharmacy?

I had a cashier tell me I can't use 2 of the same coupon for a purchase (you know the "one coupon per purchase" thing) She said her manager said so. I thought I would see if anyone here has an email from them stating otherwise, before I start calling corporate on them. That way I can just print it out and bring it in, instead of waiting for them to contact him.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @edwardclint! I found this article and letter direct from CVS customer service where they state their coupon policy. CVS coupon policy is not available on their Web site and they reserve the right to change this policy at any time. I hope your questions and inquiry will be addressed by the comprehensive letter they sent.

Their registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. In any given transaction their registers will allow only one "open ended" coupon per transaction. The CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you buy an item that qualifies for the discount. These print out instantly at the register once the threshold for the offer has been reached. You can still use more than one Extra Buck coupon if the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on every transaction basis.

In case where a particular item is on sale for "buy one get one free" (BOGO), we only allow you to use one manufacturer's BOGO coupon. For example, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer's BOGO coupon. You will then be able to get both items free and pay only the tax. They at CVS reserve the right to limit quantities after their first purchase. If CVS is running a sal for BOGO you can use two manufacturer's coupons for a specific dollar amount discount. For instance if Revlon lipstick is on sale at their store for BOGO, you can use two $1.00 off Revlon lipstick manufacturer coupons.

CVS pharmacy accept manufacturer's couposn that have been obtained from manufacturer sponsored or authorized sites. The coupon should be complete and has a bar code that can be scanned at the cash register. If the coupon does not scan, the cashier should inform you politely that CVS cannot accept your coupon. They at CVS do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet. And they will not accept offers printed from unathorized internet postings or reproductions copies or facsimiles.

Moreover, they don't accept competitor's coupons for front store items. Their sales and ExtraCare program are at par if not better than any sales or coupons offered by their competitors. They don't accept expired coupons, CVS or otherwise does not "double" or "triple" coupons.
