Only 1 to answer your question.

Donte Stallworth was convicted of manslaughter and served 30 days in jail for hitting and killing a pedestrian while driving drunk.

He is the only CURRENT nfl player who has killed someone.

There have been at least 8 who have been involved in a suspicious death.

#Rae Carruth, Carolina Panthers - murdered his pregnant girlfriend
#Michael Vick, Atlanta Falcons - he has been implicated but not charged
#Hubert D. Thompson, New Orleans Saints - threw an elderly man off a balcony
#Barret Robbins]], Oakland Raiders - involved in a police brawl
#Jim Dunaway, Miami Dolphins - charged with murder and convicted of the wrongful death of his ex-wife, who had just received a massive divorce settlement against him
#Tommy Kane, Seattle Seahawks - beat a woman to death
#Ray Lewis, Baltimore Ravens - charged with murder in 2 shooting deaths and ended up being convicted of obstruction of justice
#O.J. Simpson, San Francisco 49ers - famously acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole and Ron Goldman but many people continue to think he did it

1. NFL football is a violent sport to begin with, there used to be a fair amount of deaths on the field, equipment and steriods have lessened that.
2. in any community or group of people you will have a certain amount of undiserable behaviours.
3. anyone is capable of just about anything at anytime, to single out football players is not to be selfaware.

Rae Carruth still plays? When do they let him out? How does this work?
Orenthal James Simpson is still playing at his age? Wow, I thought he was in a Nevada Prison.
What person did Michael Vick kill?

While you were researching this did you keep track of how many, if any, were allowed to continue to play in the league?

I followed up on your reference. It seems that only one of these incidents took place while the player was still playing for the NFL., and he was acquitted. It looks like evidence that NFL players tend to be violent people; but, not that the NFL is excusing murder.

While the information give is really interesting, and you did great in finding it, it doesn't answer the question as it was asked (I see nothing wrong with answering as you did if you simply included a statement explaining how all of your answer fits into the question that was asked). @pdditty asked what number of "current" NFL players "have" killed a "person".

I think that the NFL condones violent and criminal behavior among its players. The recent Michael Vick case is a perfect example.

I didn't say Michael Vick killed anyone (though those of us with animals might feel what he did was equally horrible). I was using him as an example of someone who is a blatant criminal and yet has been signed to continue playing for the NFL. As for the others listed, I didn't say they were still playing for the NFL. I went back and re-read the question, and realized that I did not address whether these crimes were committed during the player's time on an NFL team, and I thank @albanian for adding this information. But it is my belief that most people who end up committing violence do not do so just out of the blue. They have generally always had those tendencies.
