What is the most stupidest thing you or someone you know has ever done?

Tip for best answer: M$0.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I performed my all time most stupid stunt at the age of fifteen in of all places, Little Rock, Arkansas. I could not yet drive so I walked to a nearby but rather rural shopping center when it was about 35 degrees outside. Cold but not that cold. My journey was about 2 miles but I could cut it in half by crossing a very rushing, rocky river that was about 30 feet across. By the time I had to make my choice, I was very chilled, not having dressed properly. Well, dumbo that I was, I took off my boots and socks and rolled up my jeans to ford the whitewater. The rocks lining the river bed were large and about 10 inches in diameter so balancing was not easy, but I could only feel my feet for about 2 yards anyway. The numbness was nearly immediate and I could tell my feet were being ripped to shreds. At about the halfway point, the water was mid thigh and I started crying because I didn't think I could move my legs any further but it was just as far to go back. There was about ten minutes of total panic. Nobody was around to help me or hear me and I figured I would no doubt collapse and drown. Something finally made me plunge forward and ignore the ghostly pain. Obviously I survived but I look back on that moronic young girl and shake my head whenever I get to feeling cocky.
