What is the most reliable web hosting for less than $75 / month?

We don't need eCommerce level traffic handling, but we do need reliability. Dreamhost is not cutting it.
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

i have tried several web hosting services over the past 3 years, i am using jump launch for almost a year now after i had to change and transfer my website from godaddy cuz of thier unprofessional tech support which is crucial for me and so far i am pleased with the service..cheap,reliable and a friendly dedicated tech support
their basic plan (which i am using ) is for nearly $60/year with a free domain included and other bonuses like google adwards and yahoo credits.
we can check out http://www.freewebs.com/ultimatewebhostingcomparison/
it is a comparison website for top web hosting providers, their hosting plans, prices, features and a review rating on each of them
i think that would be worth checking so you can consider your possibilities :) you can contact them for promotion codes as well.

if you need any further assistance feel free to contact me :) i would love to help :

Gee whiz, there's LOTS reliable for less than $75 per month! That's an outrageous price! Yep, I can understand Dreamhost wouldn't cut the mustard. Go see the deals at asmallorange, for one, but that's just one. For a techie "consumer reports" go to the website http://www.webhostingtalk.com
P.S. The above may gripe at me and kick me up and down the hall OOF! OOf! Oof! oof! but I've heard some serious gripes about 1and1
