What is the most popular iPad application for young adult males?
I am thinking of getting my son a few applications for his iPad as a surprise. What applications can I look for. He is twenty, works full time and loves the latest music but is not into sports. He’s always selling things on Craig’s list.

TabToolkit for iPad is a great music app for learning and practicing music. It has all the controls to listen and change the audio level of each individual track and allows for multiple track playback. This app won the Apple Design Awards in 2010.
Beatwave and Soundrop are good apps for creating music. Beatwave is simply done with one finger and Soundrop uses lines drawn to create music. Drag and draw to edit lines, double tap to delete line and audio can move from left to right with bounce feature on the screen. One can get full audio effect with use of headphones.
