What is the most money anyone has paid for a domain name besides Yahoo purchasing Broadcast.com for $5Billion?

What are the top 10 website domains ever purchased, how much were they purchased for, when did people purchase them, and who purchased them? Please list your answer in the top 10 in history, what they were sold for, who sold them, who bought them, and why you think these domain names sold for so much?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

*note - this is the price of the domain name alone and does not include any business model behind it... some of these were just part of a bigger sale that included a business with an existing revenue stream which made the total sale much higher.

1. Sex.com, $12.5 million
2. Porn.com, $9.5 million
3. Diamond.com, $7.5 million
4. Business.com, $7.5 million
5. Casino.com, $5.5 million
6. Asseenontv.com, $5 million
7. Korea.com, $5 million
8. Wine.com, $3.3 million
9. Creditcheck.com, $3 million
10. Vodka.com, $3 million

Now as for the who sold them part... that information is not easily available due to privacy issues which many major companies can include in the sale contract.

Looking at this list it is pretty clear that each and every one of these was purchase for simple marketing reasons. If you sell vodka what better domain name to have than vodka.com (same for wine and diamonds), if you are a porn site what would be better than porn.com or sex.com? In the end all of these were purchased because they were simple for people to remember and likely the key word used in the search for the product offered on the site.
