I used to believe in Rio, I believe Ipanema is the best beach in the city. It is 5 minutes away from Copacabana, which is the most famous one, but filled with prostitutes and poverty now a days. Ipanema is really safe and rich.

I live in Rio, and I can tell you that Grumari beach is the most beautiful. It is in a nutural reserve area, so there are no buildings, and the Atlantic rainforest goes right down to the beach.
