What is the minimum score you can get on the SATs and still possibly get accepted into these colleges? (see details). Thanks in advance!

Please provide answers to these schools:
Princeton University
Rutgers University
Columbia University
Cornell University
Harvard University
MIT
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Princeton:

"The University's admission process involves a holistic review of each applicant's entire file. No particular factor is assigned a fixed weight; rather, the process involves a highly individualized assessment of the applicant's talents, achievements and his or her potential to contribute to learning at Princeton." Rutgers:

From their Web site (which, if you follow the link, also includes a chart showing average SAT test scores for their admitted freshmen):

First-Year Students Admitted to New Brunswick for Fall 2008

* 48% were in the top 10% of their graduating class.
* 89% were in the top 25% of their graduating class.
* The top 1000 had mean combined critical reading and math SAT scores of more than 1400.
* More than 200 students were valedictorians or salutatorians.

I can tell you right now your not getting into MIT, Princeton, or Harvard lol. But if you want to get into Rutgers for something other then engineering they require an SAT score of around 1100 you should be able to get there

Bare minimum for the top Ivys is at least 2000.

On the bright side, more and more schools are weighing extracurricular over SAT scores. So if you are involved with your community or have some very strong accomplishments that set you above, those will get you the furthest.

Check out this site: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/310352-list-average-sat-scores-50-colleges-universities.html

Or the college board site, http://collegeboard.com for specific average scores by school.
