What is the meaning of these Anime Acronyms?

My nephew is an Anime addict. His addiction or would I say love for Anime, has even turned him towards learning how to draw cartoon characters and also Manga. He said he wants to be an Anime Artist and have his own Anime comic and book. He came across some acronyms and needs to know what they stand for. They are; GUNDAM, VOTOMS, MOSPEADA and GERWALK, Does anyone know what they stand for?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Since the Gundam series of shows are all not based on the same universe with the same characters, there is not a singular meaning for Gundam. For example, in Gundam Wing, the Gundam mecha are made of a metal called Gundanium, so it is not actually an acronym, but a word.

In other series of Gundam, it does actually stand for something. It stands for:

Generation
Unsubdued
Nuclear
Drive
Assault
Module

In Gundam SEED, however, it gets yet another Acronym:

General
purpose
Utility
Non-
Discontinuity
Augmentation
Maneuvering
weapon system
(kind of a stretch, isn't it?)

They come up with so many acronymas for GUNDAM that it makes my head spin. Some of them are really ridiculus.

The Acronym VOTOMS means

Vertical
One-man
Tank for
Offensive
Maneuvers

MOSPEADA stands for
Mobile
Operation
Soldier
Protection
Emergency
Aviation
Dive
Armor

GERWALK (from Robotech) stands for

Ground
Effective
Reinforcement of
Winged
Armament with
Locomotive
Knee-Joint

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
