What is the likelihood of a mega-tsunami forming in the Altantic?

I saw a history special on super Tsunami's. The Tsunami scenario created from part of an island breaking off and falling in the sea. The velocity of the water was about 600 mph.

The largest tsunami in recorded history was in Lituya Bay, Canada, 1958. An earthquake measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale caused 40 million cubic metres of rock to fall into the sea. A wave more than half a kilometre high was created that surged through the bay devastating all in its path. This was not even a mega-tsunami, by these standards it was tiny, but it did show scientists what sort of wave a small landslide could cause. But what would be the effect of a big one?

The Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma, one of the Canary Islands, has been hyped as the possible source of a "megatsunami" that would wipe out much of the Atlantic coast of North America, based on an article published in 2001. However, based on more recent studies, it appears that the current risk is extremely low and that it would take thousands of years for the volcano to become dangerously unstable. A more recent article, co-written by the authors of the 2001 article, acknowledges that the possibility of a megatsunami originating at La Palma is still being debated.
