Hi renaldob,
The Lemonade Diet is the diet also known as the Master Cleanse. It was developed by Stanley Burroughs in order to promote detoxification of the body. However there is no need for a special detoxification diet as our liver is quite capable of detoxifying our body. Our bodies are quite capable of clearing itself of toxins. Moreover this diet is not supported by scientific evidence that suggests it is effective.
Besides it is dangerous as just drinking lemon juice to cleanse your body, will deprive it of other vital nutrients. Your body will eat up your lean tissue to survive, leading to accumulation of body fat. So it is advisable for you to avoid this diet.
Now if you have renal failure, it is advisable for you to avoid this diet, as it can lead to diarrhea. Now diarrhea has been shown cause kidneys to stop working, thus aggravating the condition of renal failure.
