The Weirton-Steubenville (Veterans Memorial) Bridge – completed in 1988 - is a $30 million 1,965-ft-long cable-stayed road bridge (US-22) that traverses the Ohio River. The bridge utilizes two cable-stayed spans of 820 ft. and 688 feet, and four approach spans. This is currently the largest of the seven major bridges in Weirton, West Virginia.

Maintaining the railway theme there is also the Old Pennsy Signal Bridge in Weirton - more a railway signal gantry than a bridge - which crosses the Panhandle Trail: http://www.montourtrail.org/panhandle.html and provides visitors with another interesting piece of Pennsylvania Railroad nostalgia.
Whilst the Veterans Memorial Bridge is the most recent in Weirton, according to bridgehunter.com the area also includes four notable concrete arch bridges which were built in the period 1912-1916:
• Colliers Road Bridge
• Halls Road Bridge
• Kingdale Road Bridge
• Kings Creek Bridge
There are only 17 covered bridges remaining in West Virginia and there are none in Weirton. Check out: http://users.hrea.coop/post/Index.html for more information.
