The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian text that describes various sexual positions that can be pleasurable for each person involved. The book is illustrated with the art form that was possible when the book was first published, around the third century. It gave adults the ideas on how to explore and enjoy their husband’s or wife’s body. It was written mostly from a male perspective, but there is surprisingly good information for women. Most of the information is now rather passé and quite obvious, but in a society that considered discussion of sexuality taboo, in the least, and quite scandalous at worse, it was an attempt to educate the reader in the various methods of pleasure. It is often considered the most definitive book on sexual positions, even though many, many other works have been written and are far more instructive.
Just Google the term and you can find the entire, original work translated into English.
