What is the International Human Press?? It keeps popping up everywhere and it's bugging the hell out of me!(offline & Online) HELP!!

Tip for best answer: M$10.05
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This question is a funny surprise. One day I was driving in Seattle and saw a large poster that said ithp.org. I was curios to what this guerrilla advertisement was all about and decided to visit their site. It happened to be the International Human Press homepage. I couldn't find to much about the site but did as much as I could. I found a deleted Wikipedia page who's content description was still indexed on Google and it said that the site was started by several college students from UW, Stanford, and Arizona State. I checked it out on Alexa.com and there currently ranked 2,876,000 in the world and 372,000 in the U.S. Their contact email is listed as admin@ithp.org. I began searching google using the keywords "ithp.org" to see what sites talked about them. It appears they currently only have a few sites linking to them such as liberty4free.com and http://searchfortruth.homestead.com/. ITHP is however active in many forums across the web including more radical sites like godlike productions. I'm going to take the wild guess that their based out of Seattle, WA because I found several advertisements on Seattle Craigslist, the Seattle Times, and the banner I saw on a Seatlte Highway. They've only been online for 21 days so their web presence is pretty small but I assume it's growing.

They have recently employed advertising from Clicksor despite their privacy policy saying they use adsense. Here's a link to their Google group that doesn't seem to be to active.

I find this question to be a very interesting one because i've been noticing a lot of activity on infowars.com accusing this site of being part of a domestic cointelpro campaign. I somehow think this is purely delusional paranoia but it makes for a good mystery. Anyways it seems that absolutely know one new wtf they were talking about on the answers page besides that it's purpose is unbiased user generated news service. Hope this helps!

http://www.ithp.org/index.html

It appears to be a website devoted to off-topic subjects similar to Fark.com with maybe a bent to NWO activist type websites. It appears to link to lots of external sites like a blog and also allows user input of articles. It seems to be a mix of a blog/magazine.

Their privacy policy might point you to some relief, or use the contact given there: admin@ithp.org

Here's a quote from their privacy page:

It's a website http://www.ithp.org.
The ithp allows people to write and share articles with the world. The idea is that regular people with an interest in current events can contribute to the flow of information.

A few corporations (ie. Time Warner, Viacom, News Corp) currently have a monopoly over the majority of the media outlets around the world. These corporations have alternative motives (namely money) behind what they publish. They cannot afford to tell the complete truth less they offend advertisers. They cannot tell the complete truth if it would put them at risk of financial loss.

Thus the public gets either a watered down or over senzationalized version of world events. The regular old person cannot trust what they see on their nightly news . The ithp is giving the voice back to the people to help free the press

''The International Human Press launched on January 2nd 2010. The website supposedly created by several college students whom wanted to develop a biased free user generated news site. Visitors can submit interesting articles they wrote about any subject. The site claims that only quality of the article is judged when reviewing if it should be posted on the main page.''

The International Human press is a news website that allows people to write and submit articles about current events. The idea is that because the site isn't owned or operated by a corporation that may have ulterior motives (like every other major media source), you get more honest information.
