In 1998 Muslim scholars and writers from different school of thoughts form an organization with name of Institute for the Secularization of Islamic Society (ISIS). The purpose of this organization was to promote the ideas of secularism, democracy, rationalism and human rights with in Islamic society which already exist in Islamic society but was fade away due to some political factors. ISIS is also serving a role of Inquiry centre.
The founder group is known as Ibn e Warraq. While founding the ISIS founders have main aim to fight against the theologically driven factors which are damaging image of Islam like violence, terrorism and fanaticism. ISIS does not represent particular sect or religious dogma but they promote secularism which is part of Islam but often people take Islam and secularism as separate things.
