The concept have not been universally termed, but basically, is a society in which we use, manipulate distribute and integrate the information into our economy and cultural activity. It is a label that suggests we are entering a new phase of society.
The Information Society is also regarded as the next step of the Industrial Revolution and the people that participate in this kind of society are known as Digital Citizens. As members of the information society we have adapted to share information with each other and the way we send it from one place to another.
Therefore, as Czech philosopher Radovan Ritcha suggested, society has been transformed into a scientific civilization and the science and technology would become the forces of production in the immediate future.
