Here are some other fun games.
Munchkin is a very fun card game. It is all about knocking down doors, fighting monsters, getting loot and items to make you stronger, and getting to level 10. It is loosely based on RPG games like Dungeons and Dragons. Munchkin is a very backstabby game, so if you have friends who don't like to get screwed in games, you should stay away from this one.
If you like complicated games that are collaborative, then you'll love Arkham Horror. It is based on the H.P. Lovecraft horror novels and short stories, and just oozes ambiance. The pieces (and there are a lot of them) are made of sturdy materials and the artwork is richly colored and detailed. Did I mention this game is complicated? But if you like that sort of thing, and can get past a somewhat steep learning curve, this is a fun game where all the players are trying to stop the Bad Guys.

If you haven't played Settlers of Catan yet, it's pretty much mandatory. While I do like the others here more, almost everyone loves Catan.

The first is "Ticket to Ride"—2-5 players attempt to create their own railroad tycoon across continental United States.
The second is "Mystery of the Abbey"—a nifty twist on the Clue whodunnit type of game.
The third is "Settlers of Catan"—Kind of similar to the first game in gameplay, but it much more complex. A great game, I really recommend the buy.

Also, we have recently discovered Settlers of Catan. This has become my favorite board game of all time. It is a strategy game where you collect resources based on dice roles and then build your settlements. Settlements are worth points and the first to 10 points wins. It is a bit more nerdy than the classic board games, but definitely not as nerdy as Dungeons and Dragons. Like the Nintendo Wii, it is girlfriend and grandpa friendly.
