What is the fastest train in the world?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Previously Japan held this record, but in 2010, China became the new record holder with the world's fastest train. A train that runs between Guangzhou and Wuhan covers a distance of 1.069 kilometers and does it in a 3 hour ride. The train's top speed is 350 kilometers per hour (217 mph).

The thing that struck me while viewing the vid was how few passengers there were and that the attendents make their announcements in both chinese and english.
I think the USA should build one from coast to coast and be just like China, doesn't matter if nobody rides it, just fill it up with fresh fruit and toss oranges to the peasants along the way.
Would put alot of people to work and we could just tack the cost onto our chinese tab.
(I jest, of course)
