M$"Soldering is a process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal into the joint."
"Welding is the process of joining metals by melting the parts and then using a filler to form a joint."
In other words So during welding, the metals are joined by melting part of them with filler metal/alloy.
In soldering, only the filler metal/alloy is melted make a joint. So usually soldering occurs at a lower temperature than welding.
