A Muslim is a follower of the religion of Islam (just as Christians are followers of the religion of Christianity). Muslims live in every country of the world and are divided into four categories, each with slightly different beliefs and practices. In some Middle Eastern countries, Islam is the most popular religion. In those countries (such as Iraq), Muslim practices are often part of community law.

Arab is a generalized term referring to any one of a number of peoples living in the Middle East (just as people living in Central America are often collectively called Hispanic). Most Arabs speak, read and write in Arabic (possibly among other languages). While many Arabs are also Muslims (especially in countries where Islam is the main religion), there are Arabs who hold other beliefs and are therefore not Muslims.
