What is the difference between Fancast and Hulu?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hulu is by far the most well-known of any of these sites. Sporting a respectable collection of shows and sponsoring networks such as NBC and Fox, the Web site has established itself as a standard for legal, free online television.
Despite the well-planned layout and the amount of content available, Hulu has two noticeable flaws; the advertisements and some shows take a long time to get posted, sometimes up to eight days after they air.
Fancast is to Comcast as Hulu is to NBC. However, despite its lesser popularity, this provider actually delivers more major networks than its Fox-sponsored counterpart. Notable providers on Fancast that are not available on Hulu include The CW Network, most of ABC's content and even MTV. Additionally, most of the major shows on Hulu are available on Fancast as well, creating a more complete but not as well-designed source of online TV. Since Hulu is programmed primarily in Adobe Flash, it cuts down on page-loading time and allows for animations. However, Fancast is designed in the more traditional PHP, which is older and slower. Another difference between the two providers is that Fancast is less of an archive of shows that stores content on its servers, and more of a site to use to locate other sites where the media is available.

While your answer was helpful to some extent, your content was completely scraped from the site you mention as your source. You have no original commentary or insight of your own? It's too bad too, b/c the source you quoted actually is incorrect in regard to ABC content. On April 30, 2009, Hulu announed they would be carrying Disney and it's subsidiary ABC would be placing content with the Hulu.com site.
