What is the difference between custom made earplugs and standard, over-the-counter earplugs?
I am going to start going to concerts more often to take photographs. The volume at these venues is quite loud.
To prevent hearing damage, are over-the-counter earplugs sufficient?
What are the benefits of having a special set of earplugs custom made for me? I believe these are often referred to as "musician's earplugs."
I appreciate all the help!

Custom ear plugs are specifically patterned after the recipients ear, since each ears shape are unique just like the fingerprints. This ear plugs is touted to be the most effective protection for loud sounds and can also prevent water from entering the ear. With regards to standard, over-the-counter earplugs, these type of ear protection can also be used for protection from excessive noise but can only be used for a certain time only. Compared to custom ear plugs, this are widely available if the need is immediate and more affordable unlike the custom made, which can costs between $60 to $100.
