Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ. Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday. Here is a site that does a good job in comparing the details of both:

Hanukkah is a distinctly Jewish holiday. Hanukkah commemorates the defeat of Seleucid Empire forces that prevented the Jewish people from observing Judaism. Yehudah HaMaccabee with his brothers and a small number of Jewish forces miraculously defeated overwhelming forces, and renewed the Temple in Jerusalem. The eight-day festival is marked by the kindling of lights, which is why it is also known as the Festival of Lights.

Christmas is completely different. It celebrates the birth of Christ, the Messiah.

The two holidays may become blurred because of the closeness of the dates during which they are celebrated.
