You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Anxiety is a feeling of apprehension or fear and is almost always accompanied by feelings of impending doom. The source of this uneasiness is not always known or recognized, which can add to the distress you feel.

ADHD and anxiety are often confused because people who have these conditions may display similar characteristics. ADHD is usually present in young children before the age of eight. Often these children have trouble concentrating in a school or group setting and have motorized energy. Anxiety is a natural response to fear or stress. In extreme cases it can lead to hyperactivity and can affect daily living. The DSMV actually diagnoses individuals who show an onset of ADHD symptoms after the age of eight as having an anxiety disorder. Age is a criteria used by professionals to distinguish ADHD from anxiety. More people are actually affected by anxiety than ADHD. A doctor can help with the proper diagnosis of these disorders. Anxiety is a state of mind which can lead to adverse health effects while ADHD is characterized by inattention and trouble staying still.
