By definition a foodie is a particular class of fan of good food and drink although this is an informal term. In the topic of how much does fine food cost compared to regular groceries, it costs more because of its overall superior quality. To respond to what are the most nutrient-dense foods, the basic items that dense nutrition wise are the whole grain products, like most whole foods. Going back to the origin of the word foodie it was first used by the authors Paul Levy and Ann Barr. They differ from professional gourmets in that the former are looking for dishes that offer a refined, while the latter are amateurs who simply eat and want to learn about food, both the best and the regular one.
