Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday or Great and Holy Thursday), is the Christian feast or holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, and is preceded by Holy Wednesday and followed by Good Friday. In 2009, Maundy Thursday will occur on April 9 in most Christian traditions.

It is called Skärtorsdagen in Swedish. The day is associated with witches gathering and people hide their broomsticks and close their chimney dampers. On the other hand, children dress as witches and go door to door collecting candies.

Dang. It happened again. It may be due to the accent on the a character. You may have to cut and paste the full link. Or, cut and paste Skärtorsdagen into a search on google and use the translate option on the page.
