what is the daily rate for per diem working out of town
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Per Diem rates depend on your employer. As an example, the University of Maryland provides $42/day for domestic travel (see http://www.dbs.umd.edu/travel/services/rates/domestic.php ). Some employers will give higher per diem rates if you travel to especially expensive destinations such as major cities.
The State Department per diem rates for international travel are available at http://aoprals.state.gov/web920/per_diem.asp and some employers use those as maximum rates. However, the actual allowed rates may be substantially lower if your employer feels the State Dept. rates are too high.
