Local communities and the environment in Guyana were the one who benefits in a butterfly farming industry which is developed in Guyana's rainforest.
This is sponsored by researchers at the University of Warwick in the UK and the Iwokrama International Centre for Rainforest Conservation in Guyana and support 5000 people in 16 rainforest communities. The place is home for many exotic butterflies that are in demand in Western countries for US$4-10 for each butterfly pupa.

I loved your source and learned several things from it, but your answer is just too specific for the question, in my opinion. I think we (Mahalo) needed to answer in terms of the Butterfly industry world wide, not just one country.
