I read thisZithromax dosage guidelines based on the doctor uses. The dosage will still depend on your condition and medical history.
These are the common doses of Zithromax. But it would still be best to consult your doctor if you have any questions about the doses of the medicine that is prescribed.
*Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of COPD that is mild to moderate
Adults: usual dosage is 500 milligrams once a day for 3 days or 500 mg as single dose on Day 1 followed by 250 mg once a day on day 2 until day five.
*Acute Bacterial Sinusitis
Adults: the usual dose is 500 mg once a day for 3 days
Children 6 months & above : 10 mg per 2.2 pound of body weight, once a day for three days.
*Community-Acquired Pneumonia, Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis
Adults: 500 mg as single dose on first day, followed by 250 mg once a day on second day until the fifth day.
